A beach cleaning campaign was carried out as part of a friendly exchange between personnel of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and crew members of the visiting Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force naval ship at Muara Beach yesterday.
The campaign saw 60 personnel from the two navies disperse in groups and collect rubbish around the beach and its surrounding areas.
JS Uraga and Awaji made port calls at Muara Port on Sunday where they were welcomed by the RBN on arrival.
The Japanese naval ships are in the country for three days carrying 200 Japanese naval personnel, including 35 commissioned officers, under Commander of Minesweeper Division One Captain Nakai Eiichi.
