An online student exchange programme between Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) and Universitas Darussalam (UNIDA) Gontor, Indonesia concluded recently.

Thirteen students from UNISSA Faculty of Arabic Language completed the online programme with the UNIDA Faculty of Tarbiyah on Arabic Language Education, which began in January and lasted for 14 weeks.

At the closing ceremony on April 15, students shared their experiences through a video presentation. The students received certificates online, and three outstanding students were also acknowledged.

Assistant Rector (Academic) of UNISSA and Dean of the Faculty of Arabic Language Professor Dr Siti Sara binti Haji Ahmad said the programme involved student exchange between UNISSA and UNIDA.

She said the students have shown improvements in the Arabic language and have grown more confident.

She hoped that the cooperation between UNISSA and UNIDA would be further expanded in the field of scientific research and academics.

A representative of the Rector (Academic) of UNIDA Dr Abdul Hafiz bin Zaid said he hoped the achievements of the students in the programme would attract more participation in the future.
