Officials from the defence establishments and armed forces of both countries were also in attendance.

The JDCC between Brunei Darussalam and Indonesia was established in 2014 to serve as a platform for both defence establishments to exchange views on matters of mutual concern as well as discuss current and future defence cooperation.

The JDCC is also a follow up from the signing of the memorandum of understanding in Defence Cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and Indonesia on April 10, 2003.
