The highly-anticipated International Tennis Federation (ITF) Asia 12 and Under Team Competition kicked off at the National Tennis Centre of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex on Monday.
Six nations are participating in the five-day competition – hosts Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar and Thailand.
Brunei Darussalam is hosting the tournament, expected to conclude on June 16.
The tournament also serves as a regional qualifying event for nations based in Southeast Asia.
Acting Director of Youth and Sports Haji Mohamad Rosfazilah bin Haji Yusly officiated the launch of the junior-level competition.
