Brunei experiences heavy downpour

Brunei Darussalam yesterday experienced a long heavy downpour that began around noon and well into the night.

The Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department (BDMD) issued a yellow warning to indicate that there is a risk of flash flood in low laying areas topped with wind gust up to 45 kilometres per hour (kph).

In its latest statement published on July 5, the BDMD shared that active weather conditions are expected to start today until Sunday with occasional heavy and thundery showers affecting a number of areas. Wind speed may reach up to 45kph during or near heavy thundershowers.

Active weather conditions are still forecasted for the next few days due to the moist atmospheric conditions that enhanced the development of rain clouds.
