A 30-member delegation from the Women’s Institute of Brunei Darussalam (WI) departed for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to attend the 30th Triennial World Conference of the Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) on Wednesday.
The delegation was led by WI Acting President and former ACWW Area president Hajah Shamsiah binti Abdul Latif.
The conference is hosted by the Women’s Institute of Pahang, which is a member society ofthe ACWW.
With the theme ‘Diversity is our strength’, the conference will focus on issues related to programmes that support women in enhancing their competencies.
Working in partnership with ACWW societies worldwide, WI will gain insights and knowledge from the conference, which can be translated into potential seminars and workshops aimed at helping to promote international exchange to address key issues affecting women.
