Brunei has been invited to the 64th International Al-Quran Reading Competition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, including Acting Assistant Director of Haj Management Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Pengiran Haji Haslin bin Pengiran Haji Ali as a judge at the competition from tomorrow until October 12.
The Sultanate has also sent two representatives for the competition, Pengiran Muhammad Amirul Aiman bin Pengiran Haji Marjuki and Dr Hajah Siti Wardah binti Major (Rtd) Haji Abdul Rahman.
The group left the country on Wednesday evening.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim was present at the Brunei International Airport to bid the delegates farewell.
Also joining the group was guide and group manager Mohammad Noor bin Haji Ibrahim and female accompanying officer Hajah Nor Ismah Fatin Faridah binti Haji Rosbna. – Azlan Othman
