Brunei Darussalam will celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri on Monday, 1 Syawal 1446 Hijrah corresponding to March 31 2025 as the hilal (crescent) of Syawal 1446H was sighted at one or more vantage points set up across the country this evening.
The announcement was made with the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and broadcast on Radio Television Brunei (RTB) this evening.
Hari Raya Aidilfitri prayers will be observed across all mosques and major suraus in the country on Monday morning, and the country will also observe a three-day public holiday. – Fadley Faisal
