The Ministry of Religious Affairs, through its Islamic Syiar Development Division, hosted a special ceremony to honour babies born on the 1st of Muharram, coinciding with the Islamic New Year 1446 Hijrah.
In the Brunei-Muara District, a total of fifteen (15) babies were born, on the 1st of Muharram; from the beginning of Maghrib until the end of Asar on the 1st of Muharram 1446 Hijrah; consisting of nine (9) baby boys and six (6) baby girls, at the Women and Children’s Centre, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital, Bandar Seri Begawan, where the event took place.
Meanwhile, there were no births in the Belait District.
