The Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) is currently organising the Brunei Book Fair 2022, which began yesterday and will run until July 31.
The fair is held in conjunction with the Language Month, which is marked every July, and this year is themed ‘Mari Membaca’ (Let’s Read).
The public are invited to the Brunei Book Fair 2022 with activities planned including colouring contests, stage performances, workshops and quizzes.
This year the Brunei Book Fair also features a theme park highlighting illustrations of folk stories.
During the 10-day event, some 23 new books published by DBP will be launched.
The book fair has also drawn the participation of over 20 book vendors including government agencies, local bookstores as well as foreign publishers from the Sultanate of Oman and Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).
The Brunei Book Fair 2022 is open daily from 8am to 10pm, while on Friday, it runs from 9am to 11.30am and from 2pm to 10pm.
