Bringing first aid training to rural Temburong

The Ministry of Health yesterday organised a certificate presentation for residents of Kampong Amo Longhouse and Kampong Semabat Longhouse in the Temburong District who completed a first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training.

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar presented certificates as well as first aid bags, an automated external defibrillator (AED) equipment and health information pamphlets to Village Head of Kampong Amo Hujan anak Muit and Acting Village Head of Kampong Lepong Baru Ambol anak Bakit.

The minister also visited the longhouses and spoke to participating residents as well as attended a demonstration that showcased the newly-acquired skills.

Previous trainings included 58 individuals in Mukim Melilas and Mukim Sukang in 2019; 52 participants in Mukim Bukit Sawat and Mukim Labi in 2020; 17 trainees in Kampong Amo Longhouse and 23 people in Kampong Semabat Longhouse on November 12. – James Kon
