Some 122 trainees registered to enrol in the nine courses offered at the Youth Development Centre (PPB) for 2022 in an event at PPB’s Gym Hall.

Trainees will undergo three components during their one-year study – Skill Training, Self-Development and Work Attachment programmes.

The Self-Development Programme, meanwhile, teaches trainees on semi-academic matters and covers programmes related to Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) philosophy, religious and spiritual, sports, community and nationhood, aimed to teach and emphasise the development of self-identity among the trainees to mould a positive character.

The Work Attachment Programme provides an opportunity for the trainees to apply what they have learnt at the centre and enables them to gain skills and experience in a real working environment, with the involvement of both the public and private sectors.

Meanwhile, trainees opting for a career in entrepreneurship will be exposed to various activities and projects under Entrepreneurship and YDC Lights On programmes during their work attachment.

Trainees begin their courses with an induction that begins today and will continue for two weeks.
