Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners face off in Oil Town Throwdown

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) academy, The Refinery, in Kuala Belait hosted the Oil Town Throwdown BJJ competition recently.

The event was participated by BJJ enthusiasts from across the country and Miri.

The Oil Town Throwdown was the fourth BJJ competition held locally, providing a platform for local athletes to compete for the first time. The event also fostered a sense of community among BJJ practitioners in the Sultanate.

The competition featured over 20 male competitors from White Belt to Blue Belt in the gi category, along with two female competitors in the White Belt category.

A Nogi tournament showcased an exciting style of combat known as submission grappling, featuring four participants.
