Haji Ahmadi Hassim emerged as the champion in the singles category of the lawn bowl tournament at Sayyidina Ali Secondary School’s multi-purpose hall last Sunday.
Bahrin Emran and Morani Haji Murah finished in second and third places respectively.
Meanwhile, for the pairs category, duo Bahrin and Mohd Ruzain Rizman placed first, followed by Morani and Mohd Erwan Mohamad in second place, with a third-place tie between Haji Ahmadi Hassim and Ishak Bakar, and Mohd Zamirul Aswandy Ahmad and Siti Aisah binti Haji Landok.
Ten lawn bowlers participated in the tournament organised by the Belait District branch of the Youth and Sports Department and the Sports Development Unit. The competition aimed to promote the sports and healthy lifestyle.
School principal Steven Shim Sheau Huei presented the prizes and trophies for both categories, and was accompanied by Acting Head of the Youth and Sports Department in the Belait District Gaung Jamit.
