Boost for shipping industry

Participating vendors in the Brunei Gas Carriers’ (BGC) In-Country Value (ICV) Ignite capacity development programme were feted at a ceremony at J Hotel, Kiulap yesterday.

A total of 17 vendors participated in the programme, with 14 completing the three-day ‘BAH! & Gol’ Capability Training.

The graduation marks a significant milestone in their journey toward enhancing their capabilities in the maritime and shipping industry, said BGC, the organisers of the programme.

The ICV Ignite was first launched on March 7, 2023 and aimed to provide support to local businesses in building capability within the shipping ecosystem.

“I am happy to announce that we, at BGC, witnessed a high degree of professionalism and eagerness from all programme participants to learn and gain awareness and insights on our maritime and shipping ecosystem,” said BGC Contracts and Procurement Manager, Pengiran Dianawaty binti Pengiran Matzin.
