Brunei Shell Marketing Company Sdn Bhd (BSM) launched its first-ever coffee table book titled Moving Forward with You at a ceremony, in celebration of 65 years of service and dedication to the nation, at the Brunei Energy Hub Dermaga Diraja yesterday.
Acting BSM Managing Director Haji Mohd Hairul Radzi bin Haji Shahri, in his opening remarks, said the book provided an insight and reflection of the service, resilience, and the vital contributions of BSM’s customers, partners, and employees.
He added that the support was essential to reaching this milestone, and BSM’s success is founded on teamwork, trust, and a shared vision for growth and sustainability.
The coffee table book serves as a visual tribute to BSM’s 65-year legacy, celebrating its achievements while narrating the company’s journey in shaping the energy landscape of the Sultanate across land, sea, and air.
It chronicles BSM’s history from its founding in 1959, highlighting the establishment of retail stations and the nationwide supply of Shell Fuels, Shell Lubricants, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Saraline and Bitumen.
The book also outlines BSM’s vision moving forward; focusing on innovation and sustainability, including the introduction of Brunei’s first retail rapid charging station at IBA Retail Station in Kampong Lambak Kanan and diversification towards Non-Fuel Retail (NFR) offerings through Shell Car Care and convenience retailing services such as Shell Café and Shell Select.
Haji Mohd Hairul Radzi and BSM Human Resources and Corporate Affairs Manager Norleha binti Haji Delli unveiled the book. Brunei History Centre (PSB) Acting Deputy Principal Muhammad Syahmi bin Halimshah and Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) Acting Director Hajah Haireni binti Haji Damit, along with BSM’s business partners, management, and staff were also in attendance. Attendees were given exclusive insights into the stories and photographs that make Moving Forward with You, a timeless addition to any library.
