A book titled Mosques of Brunei Darussalam by Dato Paduka Dr Haji Abdul Latif bin Haji Ibrahim, covering the history of main mosques in the country as well as around the globe, was launched at The Rizqun International Hotel, Gadong yesterday.
The book includes historical references including Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) on etiquette when entering mosque.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman was the chief guest. The event began with a speech by Dato Paduka Dr Haji Abdul Latif.
The book, besides history of main mosques in the country, the book also shares how and why Allah the Almighty saves several important mosques from destruction.
The book also covered the author’s personal visits to mosques around the globe. – Azlan Othman
