‘Body oil candles’ shine bright at invention competition

Aina Khairunnisa binti Abdullah Hassanal Lilin won the best presenter award for body oil candles scented with bunga rampai, lime and strawberry at an invention competition by Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through its Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre (HTRC) held at its Sinaut Campus in Tutong District recently.

Naturally Vibrant and Smart Bees were the first and second runners-up.

HTRC academic staff Professor Dr Hamzah bin Mohd Salleh and Associate Professor Dr Moohamad Ropaning Sulong judged the competition, conducted by Dr Siti Nur Idayu binti Haji Matusin and Dr Aklimah binti Haji Mustapa. Twenty-one groups of HTRC students participated in the competition which began in January. The competition aimed at developing as well as using science and technology knowledge to invent products and services. HTRC Director Pengiran Dr Hajah Norkhairiah binti Pengiran Haji Hashim, UNISSA staff and students were present.
