Two female foreign nationals caught abusing their work passes by charging BND300 for each singing performance were fined BND600 each by the Law Enforcement Division of the Immigration and National Registration Department (INRD) during an operation named JIPK Tumpas Operation 71/2022 recently.
They were detained, investigated and taken to the Law Enforcement Division of INRD.
Investigation found them committing an offence under Chapter 17 of Regulation 15(3) of the Immigration Act and Regulations.
Their work passes were cancelled and the offenders deported with their names backlisted.
Meanwhile, the department also conducted JIPK Tumpas Operation 73/2022, targetting a farming area.
The operation found a male foreign national failing to show valid documentation and was believed to be overstaying in the country.
