A foreign national has been ordered to settle a BND31,000 fine, or serve 14 months’ jail in default of payment by the Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
Masud Miah was arrested by Customs preventive officers on unearthing the bootleg at his work quarters recently in the Belait district.
The court also made an order to destroy the cigarettes.
