The Brunei Netball Association (BNA) and Super Squad inked a partnership agreement yesterday at iCentre to further promote and develop netball in Brunei Darussalam and unleash the nation’s best players through technology, data and innovation.
The partnership’s aim is to recognise the national talent identification initiative and to uncover and nurture promising young players, as well as to provide training and development support, including where to hold specialty training camps and workshops. The platform will also be used for player scouting as well as cooperative marketing campaigns, events, and projects.
The Net Squad launch will take place in two stages: the first will be a soft launch utilising a progressive web application (web-based), and the second will be the formal launch of Net Squad where the digital app will be built. When this is executed, it will boost the national netball ecosystem while increasing netball visibility and participation.
Net Squad also provides netballers with the opportunity to participate in social games, train with trained coaches, compete in tournaments, and access to a national setup.
Signing on behalf of BNA was its President Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) Hajah Wan Shahlimar binti Haji Suhaili. Super Squad Chief Executive Officer Mohd Kamarul Faezal bin Hj A Murni signed on behalf of Super Squad. Following the event, Super Squad live streamed the Netball World Cup 2023 semi-finals, quizzes and sharing sessions. – James Kon
