To enhance the preparations of Brunei Netball Association (BNA) players for the 12th Asian Netball Championship in Singapore later this year, the BNA held a national netball team selection at the Sports School in Kampong Pulaie yesterday.
Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah attended the event.
The online registration period for this selection lasted five days, with a total of 100 registrations received. A total of 31 players qualified for the selection process. The selection screening was based on players who participated in the Brunei Netball League 2021, Asian Netball Championships (ANC) and Asian Youth Netball Championships (AYNC), Southeast Asian (SEA) Games and national pool, which was also the key requirement to participate in this selection.
The selection aimed to find players who will be screened into 20 potential players and will then be automatically drafted into the national pool.
Successful players in the selection will be announced today.
