Blood donation campaigns to boost supply

The Ministry of Health is appealing to the public to help replenish blood supplies, which are currently at low levels at the Blood Donation Centre and blood banks nationwide.

Blood donors of all blood types are urgently needed to meet the demand for blood transfusions in hospitals across the country.

In response to this situation, the Blood Donation Centre, under the Department of Laboratory Services, will host several blood donation campaigns for public participation.

Today, a blood donation campaign is taking place on the ground floor of OneCity Shopping Centre from 10am to 2.30pm.

Tomorrow, a blood donation session organised by Qasya Diagnostics Services will be held on the first floor of Gadong Properties Centre.

On April 10, a blood donation event will be held on the second floor of The One, Jalan Laksamana Abdul Razak. Additionally, on April 12, a blood donation drive will be held at the offices of D’Sunlit Sdn Bhd in Beribi.

Members of the public are welcome to donate blood directly at the Blood Donation Centre at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital, during working hours from 8am to 11.30am and 1.30pm to 4pm.

Booking a blood donation slot through the Bloodkad app for these campaigns is strongly encouraged. – James Kon
