SEOUL (ANN/THE KOREA HERALD) – Jisoo, a prominent member of Blackpink, took to her social media accounts on Wednesday to announce the establishment of her own label, Blissoo.
In her statement, she expressed her enthusiasm for this new endeavour, pledging to bring joy to her fans through her music and endeavours under the Blissoo banner. Encouraging support from her devoted fanbase, she emphasised her dedication to both her solo career and her ongoing commitment to Blackpink.
Jisoo’s decision to launch her label follows in the footsteps of fellow Blackpink members Jennie and Lisa, who have also ventured into individual endeavours within the music industry.
Despite the group’s renewal of their contract with YG Entertainment in December, Jisoo’s move signals her intent to pursue solo projects alongside her group activities.
In addition to her music pursuits, Jisoo has ventured into acting, securing a lead role in the film adaptation of the popular web novel “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint.” Acting alongside Lee Minho, filming for the anticipated project commenced in December. Jisoo’s multifaceted career trajectory continues to captivate fans, promising exciting developments both on and off the stage.
