Celebrated birdwatcher Husini bin Bakar, who goes by the name Kantalensa on social media, gave a talk to fellow birders recently.
The talk held at Pelangi Room of Panaga Club in the Belait District was joined by club and Panaga Natural Society History (PNHS) members as well as birdwatchers.
Husini, during the talk, explained how birdwatching unites people who share the same passion and discussed various bird species that can be found in the district.
“Many people don’t notice the birds that share the same environment as us. This talk will help people to enjoy and appreciate nature as well as raise awareness on conservation and care for the environment.”
Also discussed were how he started the hobby and experiences from attending birdwatchers.
Husini hopes to conduct the talk and birdwatching activities more regularly to showcase the hobby.
Husini authored Colourful Feather: Selected Birds of Brunei and Borneo, printed by Brunei Press Sdn Bhd, and is available in bookstores nationwide.
