Origin Original Productions (OOPs!) to present the third season of Bintang Search today at 8pm on OOPs! YouTube channel.
Bintang Search is Brunei’s most viewed reality singing show, aiming to groom local talents with internationally transferable skills and opportunities.
This year’s Bintang Search has a new look with the introduction of Mat Fadhil as one of the three judges. He joins local stars Dayat Ahim and Nana Farhana, both of whom have accomplished singing careers.
The show continues to be hosted by the peppy duo of Fatin Feisal and Ian Zulkifli.
The concert features the TOP 20 Bintang Search contestants: Danish, Izzat, Rofini, Kirana, Alim, Hafiz, Peepy, Matin, Faizah, Raziq, Aiz, Dani, Celeste, Faiz, Qidah, Nazz, Hassan, Jasrin, Annisa and Marsya.
The contestants were selected from a pool of hopefuls who braved the audition process, some for their second or third time.
Mat Fadhil, Bintang Search Champion in 2021, said, “The contestants this year are an interesting group, different from the previous Bintang Searches.
“The voices, styles and vibes all kindle with newness… but one thing remains the same – their passion to make music Bruneians can relate to.”
Showrunner Siti Kamaluddin added, “Bintang Search is OOPs! long-term commitment to grow the local creative industry by providing a platform for music to be an engines of the Bruneian creative economy.
“This year we are looking for someone who has international appeal and can make music that is current and relatable to many.”
Voting lines open on Sundays after the concert and viewers can vote by typing BINTANG <SPACE> NAME OF CONTESTANT and SMS to 39998. Voting is free for Imagine customers.
