The Embassy of Myanmar in Brunei Darussalam, in collaboration with the Brunei Reading and Literacy Association (ReLA), recently launched a Myanmar folklore book from the ‘Cultural Stories Around the World Volume 1’ series at the embassy.

The book aimed at promoting bilateral ties between Brunei Darussalam and Myanmar through the exchange and retelling of cultural stories, said U Htin Lynn, the outgoing Ambassador of Myanmar to Brunei Darussalam.

ReLA President Dr Malai Zeiti binti Sheikh Abdul Hamid also delivered remarks at the event.

It continued with the reading of the first story in the book by children from Brunei and Myanmar.

The Monkey’s Heart is a well-known story that has been told for generations in Myanmar.
