A business-to-business (B2B) expo focussing on the Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) will be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas from April 28 to May 2.
The five-day expo highlights the sub-region profile in the five strategic pillars which include information and communications technology (ICT) and connectivity; food basket (food and beverages; agribusiness); TTI; environment and socio-culture and education; according to a statement from the organisers – the BIMP-EAGA Business Council (BEBC) Brunei.
The event is expected to feature around 300 booths comprising businesses and entrepreneurs from within the BIMP-EAGA countries and its developing partners, which include China, Korea, Japan and Australia.
The expo will also see participation of Iran, Bangladesh, Timor-Leste and India, said the organisers.
The inaugural expo aims to highlight the importance of trade, tourism and investment in strengthening the ASEAN sub-region’s economy during the post COVID-19 era, by providing a platform to spark business collaborations and foster trade opportunities.
Activities include a conference, forums and a business-matching session.
