Sutarno Prasetyo, Siti Fatimah binti Haji Chuchu, Anisah Zahraa binti Haji Isa, Nurul Liyana binti Abdullah and Omayah bin Haji Mumin won BND10,000 each during Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) Aspirasi 5 campaign’s third quarterly draw prize presentation yesterday.
Local businessman Omayah said, “I have been a BIBD customer for many years. I joined BIBD Aspirasi campaign two years ago and been saving money through BIBD Aspirasi.
“Alhamdulillah I managed to go home with BND10,000 today.”
On choosing BIBD as his preferred bank, he said, “I felt that it’s the best bank in the country and as a Perdana customer, we were given many privileges.”
Meanwhile, 35 winners were awarded BND1,000 each as part of the campaign’s 9th monthly draw.
BIBD Chief Marketing Officer Hajah Nurul Akmar binti Haji Mohd Jaafar presented the prizes.
Since its inception, the BIBD Aspirasi programme has rewarded over 1,700 winners with a cumulative total of BND3.7 million in winnings.
The achievement underscores BIBD’s commitment to supporting the financial aspirations of the Bruneian community.
The winners of the third quarterly and ninth monthly draws were selected from a pool of customers who had subscribed to BIBD Aspirasi with a minimum holding period of 90 days.
The eligible certificate numbers were drawn during a live event at BIBD’s NEXGEN Branch at The Mall in Gadong last week, witnessed by representatives from BIBD’s Shariah and Compliance Divisions.
BIBD Aspirasi was introduced with a mission to encourage long-term savings, promote sound financial management, and cultivate the habit of saving for the future.
One of its unique features is the convenience of subscription and redemption directly through the BIBD NEXGEN mobile application, allowing customers to access these benefits with ease.
Subscribers also stand a chance to win monthly and quarterly cash prizes, along with the grand prize of BND250,000 at the conclusion of the campaign cycle.
To qualify for the reward draws, customers are required to maintain a minimum holding period of 90 days, with a minimum deposit of BND50 throughout the programme’s duration.
