To mark Brunei Gas Carriers’ (BGC) 25th Silver Jubilee anniversary, a mass Maghrib prayer and Doa Kesyukuran reading was held at Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque in Jerudong on Thursday.

Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha attended the event.

BGC Managing Director Captain Abdul Mateen Abdurrahman Liew led the ceremony attended by senior government officials; Brunei Shell Joint Venture (BSJV) Companies senior management; BGC former managing directors, as well as BGC management and staff.

In marking its 25th anniversary, BGC also collaborated with Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (ITQSHHB) to hold a Khatam ceremony involving 25 students, completing Al-Quran recitation 25 times.

The closing recitations were carried out at the mosque, in the presence of two ITQSHHB teachers accompanied by imams.

The silver jubilee demonstrates how far BGC has come as a shipping company, developing people, and delivering excellence across its shipping operations.
