Brunei Gas Carriers Sdn Bhd (BGC) launched its flagship ‘Leadership Programme: Leader Enhancement and Aspire Programme (LEAP)’ at J Hotel in Kiulap on Wednesday.
BGC Acting Managing Director Pengiran Nor Hazman bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Hamid launched the event along with members of BGC’s Management Team, and participants of the first LEAP cohort comprising around 15 Supervisory level employees.
Pengiran Nor Hazman said the programme aims to address one of BGC’s key pillars – PEOPLE – to ensure that all employees have the right competencies to deliver current and future roles to adapt to the ever-changing business environment and cater to BGC’s growth and competitive edge in the shipping industry.
He added that BGC will be focussing on the five core leadership values that underpin the company’s strategy for leadership growth and development. These include business acumen, leading people, emotional competence, leading change, and driving performance.
He said that BGC is proud to deliver its own leadership programme, curated through an extensive review of BGC’s leadership framework DNA, devising solutions based on industry-led best practices to help employees hone their critical leadership skillsets.
LEAP is divided into three segments: Leading to Perform programme for individual contributors; Leading to Inspire programme for Supervisory level; and Leading to Transform programme for management level.
