BFA under-10 players set to compete in LaLiga youth tournament

The Brazilian Football Academy (BFA) under-10 team comprising 12 young talented players will compete in the highly-anticipated LaLiga Youth Tournament in Genting Highlands, Malaysia from September 15 to 17.

The 12 selected players include team captain Muhd Zafar Amalee bin Haji Md Rahimin, Abdul Azeez Zakwan bin Mohammad Faisal, Waseem Mubasyir Eddey bin Irwan Farisan, Ayden Ansari bin Muhammad Sulhi, Mohammad Azrin bin Shadanan, Muhd Nabeel Farhan bin Mohd Fawzi, Muhammad Naqib Zahran Iman bin Abdullah, Awangku Aki Ryo Farel bin Pengiran Aki Ismasufian, Md Adi Izz Safwan bin Md Adi Fadzrin, Awangku Muhd Syaquel Yusran bin Yusof Pengiran Aziz, Zanyahu Mashego and Md Zikriy bin Muhd Yusri.

The team will be accompanied by head coach Edu; assistant coach Hazim and Yusof; and goalkeeper coach Abi.

The BFA, renowned for its commitment to nurturing young football talent, held a press conference yesterday to unveil the players for their second international tournament.

LaLiga Youth Tournament is recognised as the first official youth tournament that is being endorsed by the world’s biggest league, LaLiga.

The tournament is expected to feature elite teams from all around Asia.

The BFA under-10 team is slated to begin their group stage matches on September 16.

BFA’s participation in the LaLiga Youth Tournament aligns with the academy’s mission to develop well-rounded individuals and exceptional footballers who can excel on and off the field.

Through the tournament, the academy hopes to provide its young athletes with international exposure and opportunities for growth. In preparation of the upcoming tournament, the players have utilised their time to polish their football skills, understand the tactics, gameplay, and improving their teamwork under the supervision and lead of BFA’s experienced coaches in order to give their best performance.
