Over 45 youth from Belait District are getting a closer look at housekeeping and hospitality services at a three-day workshop at V Plaza Hotel.
The workshop is organised by the Youth Development Unit of the Youth and Sports Department’s Belait District Branch in collaboration with Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) and V Plaza Hotel.
Instructor from IBTE Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus’ School of Hospitality and Tourism Nur Badzlina Nabilah binti Ajang Subhan led the workshop.
Nur Badzlina Nabilah said the workshop encompasses basic housekeeping and service skills that can be applied to hotel as well as food and beverage hospitality sectors.
Among the activities include theoretical presentations and practical sessions where the participants can apply the knowledge in real-world scenarios. The participants were introduced to equipment used in housekeeping as well as etiquette for interacting and serving guests.
The workshop will have a series of assessments where the participants will be tested on knowledge and skills gained during the workshop.
