Belait residents are treated to a four-day KB Street Food Festival, organised by village consultative councils of Kampong Pandan ‘B’ and ‘F’, at Tudong Saji, Kuala Belait.

The festival, which ends tomorrow at 10pm, features 55 young food vendors offering an assortment of local favourites, and fun games and activities for families.

Present to officiate the event on Friday was Legislative Council member Acting Penghulu of Mukim Sukang and Village Head of Kampong Bukit Sawat Yang Berhormat Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann, who was accompanied by Assistant Belait District Officer Mohamad Syazwan bin Nordin.

According to event co-chairmen Kampong Pandan ‘B’ Village Head Muhammad Rawiyani bin Morney and Kampong Pandan ‘F’ Village Head Hazrul Faizal bin Zinni, the main objective of hosting the festival is to provide young vendors in the district with a platform to promote their products and hone their entrepreneurial skills.

Since the start on June 27, the festival has been running every day, from 2pm to 10pm. – Daniel Lim
