Belait students learn about road safety

Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd teamed up with St James‘ School to deliver a series of briefings on road safety at the school to instill a safety-focused mindset at an early age.

Split into two groups, for students in Years 4 to 6 and Years 7 to 11, the briefings were led by Megamas’ Transportation Training Manager Shuwarde bin Haji Ismail who delivered several key points on road safety.

This included the importance of adhering to the speed limit, using seat belts, properly using a pedestrian crossing and the dangers of using mobile phones while driving.

Shuwarde noted that “these key points not only help to serve as a guidance for when they grow up to be road drivers and leaders of the future but also a reminder for their parents and guardians when they are driving on the road”.

Other activities included spotting the mistakes made in the provided diagram of road safety violations. – Daniel Lim
