The Enforcement Division of the Belait District Office held a talk at the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) Room of the Belait District Office yesterday focussing on Chapter 30 of the Miscellaneous Offences Act pertaining to littering and the penalties associated with it.
Special Duties Officer Grade II, Mohd Abdul Hadi bin Haji Mohd Syarifuddin, who was accompanied by enforcement officer Karnizam bin Haji Abu Bakar, discussed the various offences under the Act, as well as the issues surrounding littering in public areas, how to handle the situation and ensuring that the offenders are properly dealt with. The event was attended by mukim penghulus, village heads, chiefs of longhouses, and members from the mukim and village consultative councils from the Belait District.
Acting Belait District Officer Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad handed over certificates of participation to the attendees.
