Acting Belait District Officer Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad said part of the profit from the 37th Jualan Amal will be provided to the Belait District Orphans Fund.
He said this participating at the Pertiwi Association 37th Jualan Amal at the Seria branch of the Belait District Office yesterday.
Haji Amirol Hafidzin also expressed support for the association’s initiative to enliven the holy month of Ramadhan.
Pertiwi Association chairperson Fatimah binti Tanji said, “This year marks the 37th edition of the Jualan Amal activity organised by Pertiwi Association.
“Twenty booths, taken up by youth entrepreneurs, single mothers, and association members, are selling a variety of handmade goods,” she added.
She said the event will be held daily from 10am to 10pm until the end of the fasting month.
The ceremony continued with the Acting Belait District Officer cutting the rubbon, followed by a tour of the booths.
Wife Khairunnisa Nadiah binti Abdul Ghani also attended the opening ceremony.
