A company which disposed waste into a public drainage was fined BND2,000 by the Enforcement Unit at the Belait District Office on Saturday.
It was given seven days to settle the fine. The failure to do so will see the case brought to court. If found guilty, the company may be fined between BND2,000 and BND10,000.
For the second or subsequent offence, the company could face between BND10,000 and BND30,000 fine, imprisonment, or both. – Daniel Lim
