Beef, chicken, and boat seized in Temburong smuggling bust

A joint operation by Company C Police Reserve (Jungle Police) resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of contraband in the Temburong District on Saturday night.

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) reported that officers on patrol discovered a suspicious boat and a man transporting large plastic bags believed to contain smuggled goods from a neighboring country via river. The suspect fled across the river upon sighting the police.

A search of the surrounding area led to the discovery of additional plastic bags in an empty house near the riverbank, along with a boat suspected of being used in the smuggling operation. Authorities seized two large boxes of beef and 12 large bags of chicken.
