Members of the Lions Club of Belait, in collaboration with the Belait District Scouts Association (PPDB), held a beach clean-up along the Belait District’s coastline on August 18.
The initiative, led by Past President of the Lions Club of Belait Alan Chee, began at the Silver Jubilee Recreation Park in Kuala Belait.
Over 50 kilogrammes of trash were collected during the campaign that aimed to promote environmental cleanliness and raise awareness on the benefits of maintaining a clean environment for the community and society at large.
The event was supported by Lions Club of Belait First Vice President Johnny Cheong, Penghulu of Mukim Kuala Belait Haji Abdul Afiq bin Zainuddin, Penghulu of Mukim Seria and PPDB Chairman Skip Haji Saidin bin Haji Ibrahim, RPN Panaga Area C Village Head Khairul Abidin bin Mohd Yassin and 35 scout members from the PPDB. – Daniel Lim
