Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) recently organised a ceremony to hand over donations to several non-governmental organisations (NGOs) including Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam; Centre for Children with Special Needs (KACA); Children’s Cancer Foundation (YASKA); and Society for the Management of Autism Related Issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei.
The donations were raised from ticket sales of the musical The InfluencHER, organised by BDCB in collaboration with Relentless Entertainment and Academy of Performing Arts in August.
The musical was designed to shed light on the importance of sound financial management and effective debt management while cautioning against financial scams.
In an effort to give back to the community, BDCB committed a portion of the ticket sales to be donated to the NGOs to support their mission.
