The Aewon Challenge Cup, organised by the Belait District Basketball Association (BDBA), got a boost after receiving sponsorship from Aewon Brunei yesterday.
BDBA Chairman Koo Kong Loi received the handover from Aewon PPE General Manager Justin Hong Ping Khiong during a ceremony at Aewon PPE store in Kampong Jangsak.
“Aewon Brunei has been supporting us for seven years and we are really grateful. Aewon Brunei Managing Director Lau Chai Seng has always emphasised on the importance of healthy lifestyle through sports and has been supporting our events,” the BDBA chairman said.
The championship, which will start from July 29 at the New Village Mutual Aid Association Basketball Court in Seria, will see 11 teams vying for the challenge cup.
They are T Best Co, Lily Kopitiam, Phoenix, Urban Life, SneakerPawn x BDBA, Yun Hin, Rest Indah Damai, CBA, Gambino, F19 Ballers and Kyoshinja x RBL. – James Kon
