A couple of matches marked the opening of the Overseas Filipino Workers basketball tournament at the Brunei Basketball Association’s (BBA) court on Friday night.
Aewon squeezed through against Tazmaniac 52-50 for their first win in the tournament’s undercard category. In the elite category, Tech Genius edged Parekoy 58-56.
The tournament has 12 teams vying for victory. It is spearheaded by BOB Organiser Jefferson John Garduque, Rommel Romero, Chester Almario, Reynaldo Sta Teresa, Maricar Pacuribot and Kristine Sanchez.
