Baiduri Bank concluded Baiduri Santai Sahur 2025, a community event held across two weekends in March at its headquarters.
Drawing an estimated 9,000 visitors, the event brought together Bruneians for a memorable sahur experience centred on local flavours, cultural appreciation, and sustainability.
Featuring 31 local vendors, Baiduri Santai Sahur 2025 created a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for families and food enthusiasts alike, reflecting the bank’s efforts to support local entrepreneurs and small businesses by providing meaningful platforms for visibility and growth.
This year’s edition emphasised the adoption of cashless payments via Baiduri Tap2Pay, with connectivity partner imagine Sdn Bhd ensuring all transactions were executed efficiently for the convenience of both vendors and customers.
Baiduri Bank encouraged visitors to bring reusable containers and cups, contributing to the reduction of single-use plastics.
The bank also collaborated with key environmental partners including Kawan Bumi Sdn Bhd, Shaliz Waste Recycling Sdn Bhd, Biofield Solutions and Tebalik Plastik to promote responsible waste management practices throughout the event.
The bank and its partners collected and recycled 170 kilogrammes (kg) of plastics, 12.45kg of food waste, 4.67kg of general waste, which includes paper cups and containers, and 136 litres of used cooking oil. “Baiduri Santai Sahur is more than just a seasonal gathering – it’s an opportunity to bring communities together, support local business and promote sustainability during this special time of the year,” said Baiduri Bank Chief Executive Officer Ti Eng Hui.
