Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) participated in a tree planting ceremony held as part of International School Brunei’s (ISB) 60th anniversary celebration at its campus recently.
The sapling planting ceremony, ’60 Trees to Celebrate 60 Years’, saw the planting of 60 saplings to symbolise ISB’s celebration of six decades of excellence in education.
Deputy Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the Ministry of Education Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman participated.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Junaidi bin Haji Masri represented BIBD.
The event was one of the several initiatives lined-up by ISB for its year-long celebration, which BIBD will support throughout.
BIBD is one of the main sponsors of ISB’s year-long celebration, which includes a series of events aimed at promoting environmental awareness, education and global citizenship.
The bank’s partnership with ISB in celebrating their 60th anniversary and support in the sapling planting initiative promotes environmental stewardship and underscores the bank’s commitment to environmental sustainability and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals under the bank’s sustainability framework.
