Baiduri Bank yesterday launched the ninth edition of its flagship corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, ‘Let’s Give Back This Ramadhan’, an annual programme aimed at supporting underprivileged families in preparation for Hari Raya.
As part of the initiative, families are treated to a shopping trip for household essentials, followed by iftar.
Returning as a strategic partner, the Council for the Welfare of Persons with Different Abilities (MKOKU) has identified over 90 families across all four districts as beneficiaries. The initiative began yesterday in Kuala Belait, where eight families shopped at Soon Lee Pandan 7. Speaking at the first instalment of the month-long programme, Baiduri Bank Head of Group Finance Division Chris Ang said, “Ramadhan is a time for reflection and community spirit.
“Through ‘Let’s Give Back This Ramadhan,’ we aim to support families who need it most, particularly those facing additional challenges. With the help of MKOKU and our logistics partners, we hope to make a meaningful impact and bring some joy to these families ahead of Hari Raya.”
The bank’s new logistics partner, Inchcape Brunei, provided crucial support by transporting families to and from the venues.
