Guests were welcomed with beautiful lights and decorative trees and flowers at Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam’s (BIBD) Gema Syawal 2023 event as the joyous atmosphere showcased that the festivities of Hari Raya Aidilfitri are still in the air at the celebration at the Indera Samudra Grand Hall yesterday.
BIBD Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Junaidi bin Haji Masri hosted the event and attended to invited guests along with the bank’s senior management team as well as staff and personnel of the bank.
The event was aimed at strengthening the bank’s relationships with those who have greatly contributed to the growth and success of BIBD, Brunei Darussalam and its economy and with the joyful atmosphere and warm hospitality of the host, it made the celebration a memorable Hari Raya gathering for everyone.
One of its highly productive and dynamic collaborations with the government namely Projek Tunas, which is an aggregation of support provided to entrepreneurial programmes under the Ministry of Home Affairs – One Village One Product (1K1P) programme; the Muallafpreneurs Consortium from Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) under the Ministry of Religious Affairs; the BIBD Special Entrepreneurial Empowerment and Development Scheme (BIBD SEED) programme; and the Usahawan Bakarih Yayasan (Yayasan entrepreneurship Assistance programme) – under Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, products of the project were showcased to provide a platform for more exposure.
The event showed appreciation to stakeholders who have contributed to the bank’s success.
Among the attendees were ministers, deputy ministries, permanent secretaries and deputy permanent secretaries, senior government officials and foreign dignitaries.
Also invited to the Hari Raya celebration prominent business and public figures, who enjoyed the festivities and personal engagements with BIBD senior management and key personnel.
