Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) held a Dikir Maulud ceremony at Ar-Rahman Mosque in Kampong Tanjung Bunut on Friday, in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul celebration for 1446 Hijrah.
The ceremony commenced with a mass Maghrib prayer, followed by a Dikir Maulud.
Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Ra’es Associate Professor Dr Abdul Nasir bin Haji Abdul Rani, who serves as the chairman of BIBD’s Shariah Advisory Body, presented waqaf to the mosque.
The event honoured the sacrifices of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), inspiring love and respect among attendees. Through the ceremony, BIBD reinforced its commitment to Islamic values and community development.
BIBD Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Junaidi bin Haji Masri was also present, along with members of the BIBD Shariah Advisory Body, senior management and 50 staff. – Lyna Mohamad
