Bank detects skimming device on ATM

Baiduri Bank has issued a public notice after discovering an illegal skimming device installed on one of its ATMs in Lambak. The discovery, made on Thursday, was promptly addressed to ensure the safety and security of the bank’s customers.

In a statement released on their social media accounts on Thursday evening, Baiduri Bank assured customers that a comprehensive review of all its ATMs had been conducted, confirming that no other machines were affected by the skimming device.

The bank emphasised that its ATMs are equipped with anti-skimming technology designed to prevent such devices from functioning effectively.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident, with Baiduri Bank affirming its commitment to enhancing ATM security. The bank is also working closely with law enforcement agencies to monitor and prevent future fraudulent activities.

“We are continuously working to enhance the security of our ATMs and are collaborating with law enforcement agencies to monitor and prevent such fraudulent activities. Your security is our top priority, and we urge you to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity around ATMs to us or the authorities,” the statement concluded.
