Three individuals each won investments worth BND10,000 during Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) Mega 30 Campaign yesterday.

Hajah Siti Fazriana Hairani binti Haji Noordin, Rafidah binti Mohd Hassan and Muhammad Sapri bin Haji Mayasin/Haji Mayassin were awarded mutual funds or term deposits to kick start their journey in wealth building through smart investments.

The prizes exemplify BIBD’s commitment to financial literacy, going beyond rewards to empower customers with knowledge and tools to secure their future.

The prize presentation ceremony also saw rewards for one quarterly, 30 monthly and three surprise winners.

Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, as the Chairman of the BIBD Board of Directors, presented prizes to the winners.

The campaign was launched in March 2023 to commemorate BIBD’s 30th anniversary. The Mega 30 campaign has awarded over 300 winners with prizes with 30 participants receiving vCard credits worth of BND300 each and three winners rewarded with BIBD Aspirasi saving certificates and mutual funds’ investments worth BND3,000 each during quarterly draws.

The campaign was open to new and existing BIBD customers who applied or subscribed to BIBD products, services, financing facilities and/or performed transactions.

For the first time, BIBD’s Retail Banking Group, Corporate Banking Group and BIBD Securities business units joined forces to offer a vast array of rewards through a single campaign.

The campaign was also a platform to showcase BIBD’s rich history and commitment to progress.

In January 2023, a commemorative gallery was unveiled, chronicling the bank’s journey from its inception as the Islamic Bank of Brunei Berhad (IBB) to its evolution into becoming a leading financial institution today.

The campaign is also part of BIBD’s pledge to promote digital economy supporting the Smart Nation agenda and Brunei Vision 2035. – Rokiah Mahmud
